The next important step in this process is for the Council to approve a supplemental budget as proposed by the Mayor, specifying how the $13.5 million additional dollars in the budget will be spent. This money is in addition to the previously allocated $107,575,802, bringing our city’s total operating budget for 2025-2026 to $121,075,802. The supplemental budget must be used for the purposes that were outlined in the ballot proposition. The Mayor’s team has prepared several documents describing her proposed supplemental budget, including a memo, a supplemental budget summary, a breakout by department line item, and a condensed one-pager. This will be discussed on this Thursday November 20th at 7pm in the Appropriations Committee of the City Council. The agenda and documents for the meeting can be found here.
